Neil Seymour - Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Central London & Online

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

About me

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist working in private practise in central London and online.

I trained and qualified at WPF therapy, a leading and well-respected training organisation for psychodynamic psychotherapists. I also have a background working in mental health in the charity sector.

Over many years, I have come to understand the diverse range of emotional and psychological difficulties people can struggle with. Psychotherapy offers the time and space to explore such issues, at depth, with the aim of reaching a greater understanding of ourselves and the difficulties we are facing.

About Psychodynamic Therapy

By speaking about whatever is troubling you, in a confidential, non-judgemental environment, I believe psychodynamic therapy can help us reach a greater understanding of ourselves and the issues we are facing. This in turn can bring opportunities for change and improvement in our quality of life, relationships, sense of self and general wellbeing.

Getting Started

Please contact me to arrange a free, no obligation telephone call of around 15 minutes where we can discuss the issues you are seeking help with and answer any questions you may have.

If we both agree that meeting would be beneficial, we can arrange an initial consultation. This is an opportunity to speak more about the things you would like to work on, as well as giving you the chance to experience what a therapy session might be like.

Working Together

If we have agreed to meet on a regular basis, sessions would be once or twice weekly on the same day at the same time and last for 50 minutes. I usually suggest an open-ended arrangement so each individual has the time and space they need to explore issues without the pressures of working within a pre-determined timescale.

Where it is clear you would like to focus on a specific issue, I can also offer short-term therapy where we would meet for a pre-agreed number of sessions.

What issues can therapy help with?

Psychotherapy can be helpful for a wide range of issues. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, please feel free to contact me.

Some of the more common issues people seek help with are:

  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Bullying
  • Depression
  • Family issues
  • LGBTQIA+ counselling
  • Loneliness
  • Low self-confidence

  • Redundancy
  • Relationship problems

  • Stress / Work-related stress
